Madness! I just saw my friend Miyavi on the new and improved J-Melo show…aka Club J-Melo! J-Melo is an English-language music show produced by NHK and hosted by Melody, a popular Japanese pop singer. It’s a pretty good show and has showcased a lot of great talent and introduced me to new artists I haven’t heard of.
At any rate, Miyavi’s performance is excellent as usual and his impromptu session with Yasugi Ohagi is simply wonderful. Definitely worth watching…especially the end.
After a couple years of languishing in a sad stagnant state, I finally dug in and refreshed the site design. The design of the new site is somewhat all over the place since I wanted to test some new coding techniques and ideas. Thus, the shameless web experimentation….and there’s more experimentation to come once I get the rest of the content situated. The impetus behind the site was to more easily showcase my work and to be able to test new development/design ideas and new user interface ideas.
Along the way, I inadvertantly got rid of all of the old entries which sucked but it did allow me to start fresh with a completely new architecture. I do still have the old entries so there’s a chance that I may resurrect some of the old entries (especially if they’re photo-related).
